Only ten weeks after works began, the redesigned Aelia duty-free walkthrough shop at Luxembourg Airport has opened its doors. Although works were carried out during business hours without the shop’s closure, the new walkthrough Aelia duty-free shop has undergone a remarkable transformation. Visitors will immediately notice the changes as they approach the entrance, where current promotions are on display, along with the dedicated Luxembourgish section brimming with traditional regional products and delights. And did you know that the range of merchandise has increased too? There’s a new FNAC electronics area offering mobile phones, tablets, earphones and technical devices, and there are even more fashion brands now available.
What’s more, the cashier area has been vastly improved by locating all the cash points in one place and adding even more cash machines, which improves the shopping experience by reducing waiting times. Kick start a holiday with some pre-holiday shopping or perhaps pop in for a last-minute souvenir before returning home from a business trip. Shopping at Aelia is now an even smoother and faster experience.
“With our new concept and in close collaboration with local brands, we now offer passengers an enhanced shopping experience. Together with lux-Airport, we are proud to have successfully implemented this concept.“ Anne-Gaël Normand Director of Operations Duty-Free France and Luxembourg.
“The re-design of the Aelia Duty-Free Walkthrough shop at Luxembourg airport is the first step in optimizing our entire retail area. Travelers’ demands are changing and we are adapting our offer to their needs. The next step will be to also recreate some of our shops and restaurants airside. We will come up with a nice and modern concept that fits our boutique airport.” René Steinhaus, Chief Executive Officer lux-Airport.
