Why Do I Need to Check-in?
Checking-in is standard practice at every airport. It’s done so the airline you are travelling with can confirm that you are ready to start your journey. If you have any luggage with you the airline can also confirm this through your check-in. Luxembourg Airport provides a number of different check-in options depending on your flight details and what airline you have chosen to travel with.
What Do I Need to Check-in?
When you’re checking-in at the airport you will need to bring the following documentation with you:
- Your flight itinerary – this will include your reservation number, flight details and information on your luggage if you have any
- A valid ID card or passport
That’s all you’ll need! Checking-in is very simple.
When Should I Check-in?
In order to make efficient use of your time at Luxembourg Airport, we strongly advise arriving to the check-in counter at least 2 hours before your flight. Please note that during holiday seasons, demand in the terminal severely rises, and therefore it is very important that you plan accordingly during these times.
IMPORTANT: In case of flight-delay please note that the original check-in time is still kept unless otherwise stated by your airline.

What Check-in Services Does Luxembourg Airport Offer?

Online Check-in The majority of airlines at Luxembourg Airport provide online check-in, so why not skip the queues and check-in online? Check-in Counter Go to one of the 26 check-in counters at the airport to get your boarding pass and drop off your luggage. You will see the check-in desks as you come in through the main entrance. Make sure you go to the correct check-in desk that is allocated to the airline you’re travelling with. Business Check-in If you’re flying business or first class you can effortlessly breeze though the check-in process at one of the designated business check-in counters. Previous Night Check-in (Luxair only) If you’re departing in the morning between 06:00 – 09:00, you can check-in your luggage the previous night between 19:30 – 22:30 and collect your boarding pass. On the morning of your flight, you can skip all the queues, grab a much needed coffee and go straight to your gate. Check-in for Pets Sometimes your pet deserves a holiday too.
