Minister Backes welcomes first Marriott International “Moxy” at the Skypark Business Center at Luxembourg Airport

The Moxy Hotel has been welcoming guests since September 2024, with the official opening marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the evening of 21 of November attended by Minister Yuriko Backes (Mobility and Public Works), Satya Anand (President, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International), Alexander Flassak (CEO, lux-Airport), and Christian Buer (CEO, Nemis, the hotel’s operator). The official opening event was joined by distinguished guests from aviation, tourism, hospitality and stakeholders.
Yuriko Backes, Minister of Mobility and Public Works, declared: “ As the premier tenant of the Skypark Business Centre, the Moxy Hotel is set to open alongside this sophisticated, multifunctional development directly connected to the airport terminal. The hotel will significantly elevate the airport’s appeal and offer unparalleled convenience for travelers and visitors, especially with the new tram connection set to commence in March.”
Satya Anand, President for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Marriott International, emphasized the hotel’s commitment to providing an innovative and vibrant guest experience. “The Moxy brand is all about fun, with a modern design, and creating a sense of community for both business and leisure travelers,” said Anand. “We’re proud to have the first Moxy in Luxembourg at Luxembourg Airport and look forward to its role in this dynamic location.”
