April 13th, 2017 – Volotea, the airline of mid and small-sized European cities, has celebrated yesterday its maiden flight from Luxembourg to Nice. The inauguration of the route was celebrated in Luxembourg airport, where, Johan Vanneste, CEO of Luxembourg airport, and Edo Friart, International Development Director of Volotea, welcomed the passengers arrived from Nice with the traditional water arch. As part of the welcome ceremony the passengers flying from Luxembourg to Nice were offered Crémant de Luxembourg and Oberweis chocolates.
Volotea starts connecting Luxembourg with Nice
Wednesday 12th April, Volotea held a press conference at the airport of Luxembourg to communicate its maiden flight which connects Luxembourg Airport with Nice.
Volotea offers more than 14,000 seats for this year in this new route and more than 100 flights, with a frequency of 2 flights per week, every Wednesday and Saturday. A Boeing 717 will operate this route from April to October. The airline offers a special promotion with flights from €9 for this summer through its website.
